Application
This unit describes the skills required to conduct military demolition operations. This unit can apply above and below the high water mark. This unit applies to those required to identify, test and prepare explosives, accessories and equipment, to place and fix explosive charges and to initiate them on lawful command in order to demolish/damage military targets. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to. Those undertaking this unit would work independently as part of a team, under indirect supervision. They would use discretion and judgement and take responsibility for the quality of their outputs while performing specific tasks in a broad range of contexts that could be unpredictable. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication. |
